Public Communications and Safety Committee MISSION  Assess current communications to the public in response to physical attacks and natural disasters. Study the means by which the government and the media communicate emergency and public safety information to the general population, including but not limited to the Emergency Alert System. Consider any special requirements needed to communicate such information to the hearing and visually impaired.Establish a proposal which insures critical communications to the public during and after a disaster while protecting the means to do so.
